David Guetta
Born in 1967, David Guetta began making music as a teenager and quickly gravitated toward electronic sounds and turntables. Around 17, he was DJing in various clubs, and by the early 1990s he started releasing his first EPs. At the same time, he organized club nights, notably at the Rex and the Central. Through sets and remixes, he became a trendsetting figure in Parisian nightlife; together with Kien, he served as artistic director at Les Folies Pigalle as well as at the Queen. In 2002, the French DJ released his debut album, Just a Little More Love, on Virgin. An emblematic, global DJ, he built an international reputation by playing at fashionable club events around the world. Throughout his career, he has produced and collaborated with many artists, including Nicki Minaj, Snoop Dogg, and Chris Brown (Nothing But The Beat 2.0, released in 2012). With his wife Cathy Guetta, he created an electro empire powered by club nights and numerous hit singles that sold in the millions (F…Me, I’m Famous; When Love Takes Over). Alongside these club ventures, he owns the Sweet Bar and owned Pink Paradise until 2003. He has also collaborated with audio brands such as Sennheiser and Beats by Dr. Dre.
