Jonas Blue

London-based producer and DJ Jonas Blue, born Guy James Robin in 1989 in Chelmsford, England, is part of the electronic pop and melodic house wave that emerged in the mid-2010s. He broke through in 2015 with his cover of “Fast Car,” performed by Dakota, which established him on the mainstream dance scene and kicked off a run of singles blending tropical house, dance-pop and vocal balladry. He went on to collaborate with pop and contemporary R&B singers such as JP Cooper, Raye, William Singe, Jack & Jack and Liam Payne, favoring radio- and club-oriented formats. His debut album, Blue, released in 2018, compiles his key singles around an aesthetic centered on catchy vocal hooks, moderate tempos and smooth, melodic electronic production. At the same time Jonas Blue has produced numerous remixes and DJ sets, appearing on festival line-ups and in major European venues, consolidating a position on the boundary between EDM culture and commercial pop.
