Martin Garrix

Under the name Martin Garrix, Dutch producer and DJ Martijn Gerard Garritsen, born in 1996, positions himself within the EDM wave that blends big room house, progressive house, and pop forays. As a teenager, he began producing electronic music before signing to Spinnin’ Records, where he drew attention in 2013 with the instrumental single Animals, which marked his international breakthrough. Martin Garrix then followed with club- and radio-oriented tracks, alternating between pure festival cuts and vocal collaborations with, among others, Bebe Rexha, Dua Lipa, Khalid, Troye Sivan, and Usher. His style leans on direct melodies, pronounced build-ups, and drops engineered for big stages, while gradually incorporating more pop structures and slower tempos. In 2016, he left Spinnin’ and launched his own label, STMPD RCRDS, around which he cultivated a circle of producers aligned with contemporary EDM aesthetics. A regular presence in clubs and at major electronic music festivals worldwide, he released his debut album, Sentio, in 2022, conceived as a series of stage-focused collaborations that synthesize the different facets of his production.
