Info
On 23 October 2027, Leeds Arena hosts a double bill with two pillars of Scottish pop-rock.
Texas bring their big, warm blend of rock and pop, driven by Sharleen Spiteri’s unmistakable voice and the band’s knack for sharp hooks. Formed in Glasgow in the late ’80s, they’ve built a catalogue that moves easily from radio-sized choruses to more soulful, guitar-led grooves, with the kind of songwriting that makes arenas feel close-up.
Del Amitri open the night with their classic balance of chiming guitars and clear-cut melodies, carried by Justin Currie’s songwriting and that bittersweet, everyday edge. From Waking Hours through the run of ’90s records that cemented their reputation, their set draws on a sound that sits between pop craft and alternative rock directness, built for singing along without trying too hard.
