Ronan Keating

Born in Dublin in 1977, Ronan Keating first rose to prominence as a member of Boyzone, the Irish pop group formed in 1993, where he shared lead vocals with Stephen Gately. After several years on the British and Irish pop scene with the band, Keating launched a solo career in the late 1990s with a version of "When You Say Nothing at All", used in the 1999 film Notting Hill. His solo repertoire falls within melodic adult pop, at the crossroads of ballad, soft rock, country-pop and easy listening, with songwriting focused on classic song structures. Keating then released the albums Ronan (2000), Destination (2002), Turn It On (2003) and Bring You Home (2006), before alternating personal projects and themed records such as Songs for My Mother (2009), Winter Songs (2009), When Ronan Met Burt (2011), Fires (2012), Time of My Life (2016), Twenty Twenty (2020) and Songs from Home (2021). Alongside his discography, he has reunited with Boyzone on a number of occasions and developed a lasting presence in audiovisual media in the UK, Ireland, Australia and Germany as a presenter and judge on music shows.
