Jack Savoretti

Born in London in 1983 into an Anglo‑Italian family, Jack Savoretti grew up between the UK and the Lugano region of Switzerland; this back‑and‑forth fed a musical imagination at the crossroads of Anglo‑Saxon folk, acoustic pop and Italian song. First noticed on the acoustic singer‑songwriter scene in the mid‑2000s, he built his career around a spare guitar approach, a slightly husky voice and narrative lyrics focused on relationships and uprooting. His early albums Between the Minds (2007) and Harder Than Easy (2009) established an intimate folk‑pop aesthetic, extended by Before the Storm (2012) and Written in Scars (2015), which introduced more rhythmic colours and fuller arrangements. With Sleep No More (2016) and Singing to Strangers (2019), recorded in Rome, he emphasised soul and cinematic influences and increased occasional collaborations, notably with Kylie Minogue and Nile Rodgers. Europiana (2021) explored a Mediterranean‑tinged pop, before Miss Italia (2024) refocused his songwriting on his Italian roots, including a few tracks in Italian. Regularly appearing on British and European stages, Jack Savoretti alternates solo concerts and band tours across theatres, clubs and festivals.
