On 21 August 2026, in Berlin at Kater Blau, "The Birthday: Cucumbers in Olympus" will take place with a line-up that swings between electro, house and techno while still finding a common language. The Hacker (Michel Amato), one of the defining French electro- and techno-acts: from the early days in Grenoble through his Goodlife Records label to the iconic live and DJ collaborations with Miss Kittin, which have made his cool, angular aesthetics known worldwide.
From the Berlin scene comes Chris Schwarzwälder, who since the 2000s has built deep, melancholic house with velvety textures and plenty of room for improvisation—closely intertwined with the Kater history and also as part of Feathered Sun. Demi Riquísimo brings Detroit roots and London's contemporary scene together, with acid- and Italo-flavoured house, disco-drive, and the output of his label Semi Delicious. Additionally, Johannes Albert contributes warm, analog-sounding house between disco, acid and techno, and Britta Arnold—who since the Bar 25 days has stood for hypnotic grooves and minimal-tinged club tension—completes the lineup. The lineup is complemented by Mira, Armen Miran, Elif, Biesmans and Iron Curtis, among others.
