Acid Pauli

Emerging from the German independent electronic scene of the 1990s, musician and producer Martin Gretschmann developed his alias Acid Pauli as the club-oriented facet of his work, alongside his project Console and his role in the band The Notwist and the collective 13 & God. Under this name he explores a range between minimal techno, slow house, electronica and ambient, with a marked taste for sample collages, fragmented voices and psychedelic digressions. His DJ sets as well as his live performances rely on long, often improvised constructions where repetitive rhythms, abstract textures and references to pop or traditional music intersect. Active in Berlin clubs and on numerous European stages, he favors a narrative, evolving format rather than tracks strictly formatted for the dancefloor. In his discography, the album "Mst" (2012) initiated this more dance-oriented identity, continued by "BLD" (2017), which deepens his slow, hypnotic variations around house and techno.
