Gabrielle « The Hits »

Gabrielle brings The Hits to University of Wolverhampton at The Halls, Wolverhampton, on 15 April 2027. Hackney-born and first heard in London clubs, she made her mark in the early 90s with a direct writing style and a voice that moves between R&B, pop and soul, anchored in the British song tradition. This show lines up three decades of essentials: early breakthroughs like Dreams, the melodic turn of Give Me a Little More Time and the duet If You Ever with East 17, the late-90s rise of Rise, and Out of Reach, recorded for Bridget Jones’s Diary. It also folds in later chapters from Play to Win and Always to her recent albums Under My Skin, Do It Again and A Place in Your Heart.

Across the set, Gabrielle stays close to the core of her catalogue: ballads, clear melodies and unfussy R&B grooves, carried by a live band. The Hits is a straight path through the songs that defined her, placed alongside material from the 2010s and 2020s, for a snapshot of how her pop-soul has evolved without losing its frame.
