James Blunt

Born in Tidworth, in the south of England, James Blunt first enlisted in the British Army before turning to music in the early 2000s, a path that partly marks the writing of his early songs. His range sits between pop rock, folk pop and soft rock, with arrangements centered on the voice, guitar and piano, in a songwriting format that is direct, melodic and often acoustic. James Blunt emerged in 2004 with Back to Bedlam, propelled by the tracks "You’re Beautiful" and "Goodbye My Lover," and then continued with All the Lost Souls in 2007, Some Kind of Trouble in 2010, Moon Landing in 2013, The Afterlove in 2017, Once Upon a Mind in 2019 and Who We Used to Be in 2023. Over the years James Blunt has evolved his writing without breaking with an adult pop aesthetic with folk accents, alternating ballads, more radio-friendly tracks and productions more open to contemporary pop. His career has been built as much in the studio as on stage, through long international tours, but also occasional collaborations with artists from pop, chanson or electro, such as Laura Pausini, Alle Farben or CYRIL.
