Tom Jones

Born in Pontypridd, Wales, in 1940, Tom Jones rose to prominence in the 1960s at the intersection of orchestral pop, soul and rhythm and blues. Discovered in London, he recorded his first singles in 1964 and quickly found a wide audience with 'It's Not Unusual' in 1965, followed by songs such as 'What's New Pussycat?' and 'Delilah', which established Tom Jones's broad, direct vocal style.
