Craig David

Born in 1981 in Southampton, England, Craig David first came to prominence on the UK garage scene in the late 1990s, notably thanks to the track 'Re-Rewind' with Artful Dodger. Positioned between R&B, urban pop and garage, his style relies on a flexible vocal delivery, melodies focused on relationships, everyday life and club culture, and a strong narrative sense in the lyrics. His debut album 'Born to Do It' (2000) established this aesthetic, followed by 'Slicker Than Your Average' (2002) and 'The Story Goes...' (2005), which sustained the balance between club-oriented productions and R&B ballads.
