Hear'Say

Formed in London as part of the British television show Popstars at the end of 2000, Hear'Say belongs to the early-2000s mainstream pop, with a vocal repertoire built for the single format, between catchy choruses, light ballads and radio-calibrated production. The group originally united Danny Foster, Myleene Klass, Kym Marsh, Suzanne Shaw and Noel Sullivan, before Kym Marsh left in 2002, briefly replaced by Johnny Shentall. Hear'Say's rise was immediate with 'Pure and Simple' in 2001, followed in the same year by the album Popstars (2001), then the single 'The Way to Your Love'. Their second album Everybody (2001) marks a continuity in melodic and accessible pop, with an image closely tied to television, UK tours and the pop culture of the time. In 2002, after several internal tensions and a more hostile public reception, Hear'Say ends its activities. The group's trajectory remains associated with the rise of reality TV music in the UK, at a moment when the media fabrication of pop groups becomes a central phenomenon of the industry. In 2026, Danny Foster, Kym Marsh, Suzanne Shaw and Noel Sullivan announce the reforming of Hear'Say for a new tour, without Myleene Klass.
