Info
On July 11 at Fabrik in Humanes de Madrid, CODE Summer Festival assembles a lineup that spans generations and schools of techno. From Detroit come Jeff Mills, focused on futuristic narratives and rhythmic precision, and Robert Hood, a figure of the minimal pulse who defined M-Plant. The United Kingdom contributes Luke Slater, carrying the intense DNA of Planetary Assault Systems, and Function, part of the Sandwell District orbit. Japan is represented by DJ Nobu and his hypnotic, slow-building journeys. The Madrid scene is represented by Oscar Mulero and Cristian Varela, two key names in the local techno history.
From France, Kangding Ray blurs the boundaries between techno, ambient and experimentation; Hadone and UFO95 push the tempo with nineties echoes and a direct, dancefloor-focused approach. DVS1 proposes long, tension-filled sets that bridge Berlin and the Midwest, and Steve Bicknell offers a raw, functional reading. Portugal arrives with Temudo and Nørbak, bringing a mental aesthetic and dense textures; the Georgian wave adds Yanamaste from Berlin. Rounding out the journey are Tommy Four Seven, Parfait and DJ Hyperdrive, completing a map that ranges from linear groove to sonic abstraction, conceived for a night of continuous dancing.
