Len Faki

Under the name Len Faki, Levent Faki, born on Fehmarn in Germany, has developed since the late 1990s a career tied to the techno scenes of Hamburg and later Berlin. First noticed as a resident at the Front club in Hamburg, he later moved to the German capital and joined Berghain in the mid-2000s, which became the central setting for his DJ activity. Both his productions and his sets are rooted in a taut, functional techno built on straightforward rhythms, hypnotic sequences, acid accents and subtle house inflections, with particular attention to progression and the dynamics of the mix. In 2003 Len Faki founded the Figure label, which hosts a large share of his releases, while other productions have appeared on Ostgut Ton. His album Death By House was released in 2007. Since then he has played regularly at clubs and festivals internationally, in a register that remains committed to dancefloor effectiveness as well as to precise sound design.
