Psyk

Active since the late 2000s, Psyk, the stage name of Spanish producer and DJ Manuel Anós, has from Madrid developed a sober, tense, and precise techno, located between hypnotic pulsation, mental textures, and a more functional club approach. His early maxi-singles appeared notably on labels such as Drumcode, CLR, Figure or Mote-Evolver, before he refined a leaner writing through his releases on Non Series, the label he founded in 2011, and on Semantica or Tresor. Psyk thus builds a career marked by a balance between rhythmic efficiency and atmospheric depth, as perceptible in tracks like Arcade, Eclipse or Lowdown as in his sets played in techno clubs and festivals in Europe, Asia, and America. His discography includes the Time Foundation album in 2014 on Mote-Evolver, followed by A Moment Before in 2019 on Tresor, two records that extend his taste for pared-back structures, evolving loops, and slow tensions. Psyk has also collaborated with Reeko on the Natural Causes EP in 2019, then with Oscar Mulero in the Second Skin project, launched in 2022 on Blueprint.
