Info
Shinedown brings the Dance, Kid, Dance Act II tour to Rogers Place in Edmonton on August 18, 2026. Built around vocalist Brent Smith with Barry Kerch, Eric Bass and Zach Myers, the band drives a tight blend of hard rock, post‑grunge and melodic metal, anchored by clear hooks and guitar ballads. On stage, they move between muscular riffs and quieter breaks, stacking big choruses and direct song structures. Expect a set that reaches from Leave a Whisper and Us and Them through The Sound of Madness, Amaryllis, Attention Attention and Planet Zero, with themes of resilience, mental health and inner conflict threading through the performance.
From Ashes to New line up a modern mix of alt‑metal, rap rock and nu metal shaped by multi‑instrumentalist Matt Brandyberry and singer Danny Case. Verses flip from rapid‑fire flows to melodic hooks over electronic textures and tight guitars, shifting between percussive tension and wide refrains. Live cuts draw on Day One, The Future, Panic and Blackout, keeping contrasts at the core without losing immediacy.
Coheed and Cambria bring their progressive streak: shifting tempos, intricate structures and Claudio Sanchez’s high tenor steering concept‑driven rock tied to The Amory Wars universe. The set can slide from sharp, post‑hardcore edges to widescreen melodies, pulling across The Second Stage Turbine Blade and In Keeping Secrets to the Vaxis cycle, balancing storytelling, emo‑tinged harmonies and heavy riffing.
