Malcolm Todd
Born in Los Angeles in 2003 and raised in the Pacific Palisades neighborhood, Malcolm Todd began writing his first songs as a teenager after teaching himself bass and then guitar. With his friend Charlie Ziman he launched a very DIY phase that led to the EP Demos Before Prom in 2022, followed by Shower Shoes in 2023. Malcolm Todd sits at the intersection of indie pop, alternative R&B and bedroom pop, with direct songwriting, muted guitars, supple melodies and an intentionally intimate production. He emerged in 2023 when the tracks Art House and Roommates circulated widely online, before being included on the mixtape Sweet Boy in 2024, his first project with Columbia. Onstage he debuted the same year in Los Angeles and quickly broadened his circuit, notably opening for Omar Apollo on the North American God Said No World Tour. His path continued with the album Malcolm Todd in 2025, which features Bleed with Omar Apollo, followed by Do That Again in 2026. Between alternative pop and contemporary R&B, Malcolm Todd develops a compact, flexible and melodic song format designed both for headphone listening and for live performance.
