Pinkpantheress

Hailing from Bath, England, and later based in London, PinkPantheress (born Victoria Beverly Walker, 2001) has developed a practice at the intersection of alternative pop, bedroom pop, and 1990s–2000s British electronic music. She broke through in 2020 by posting short song snippets on TikTok, where her compact, melodic tracks—marked by soft vocals and rhythms drawing on drum and bass, jungle, and 2‑step—quickly found an online audience. Her debut mixtape, To hell with it (2021), compiles these tracks and sets an aesthetic in which lo‑fi textures, sampling, and nods to 2000s R&B and pop shape the songwriting. Since then, PinkPantheress has collaborated widely with pop and rap artists, notably Ice Spice, and has appeared on electronic releases such as those by Skrillex, while continuing to release her own singles. Her first album, Heaven Knows (2023), deepens the blend of introspective songwriting and club‑driven rhythms, cementing PinkPantheress’s place among a generation of artists reinterpreting the legacy of British club music within a concise, intimate strain of pop.
