Tame Impala

Tame Impala is an Australian psychedelic rock group that has been active in France since 2008. The project brings together Kevin Parker, Dom Simper, and Jay Watson. Kevin and Dom knew each other well before Tame Impala took shape—they had been making music together for nearly nine years after meeting at school—before Jay joined them. The band quickly gained recognition, likely helped by Kevin’s reputation as a former member of Dee Dee Dums. Their self-titled debut EP, released in 2008 on Modular Recordings, earned them opening slots for MGMT. In 2010 they released their first album, Innerspeaker, followed by Lonerism, which propelled Tame Impala to fame. A standout of 2010s alternative and psychedelic rock, the trio set out on tour in 2013, with numerous dates in France, both in venues and at festivals.
