Suzane

Between Avignon and Paris, Suzane develops French-language songwriting driven by an electro-pop aesthetic close to chanson. Trained early in dance and classical music, she turned to contemporary music after moving to Paris, where she began performing solo on small stages before emerging on the circuit of venues and festivals across France. The first tracks released online led to a self-titled EP in 2019, followed by her debut album Toï Toï in 2020, which established Suzane’s project in a register that blends electronic rhythms, direct melodies and narrative lyrics rooted in everyday life, questions of gender, labor and social relations. In 2022, the album Caméo continued this approach with a stronger emphasis on voice and melodic content while retaining an electronic foundation conceived for the stage. Suzane has since multiplied tours in France and the Francophone world, appearing at events such as the Printemps de Bourges and Les Francofolies de La Rochelle. Collaborations, including a track with Grand Corps Malade, fit into a continuity in which Suzane asserts a spoken-sung style, a stage presence derived from dance, and a desire to address intimate and social issues over productions that sit between club music and chanson.
