Behind Ross From Friends is Felix Clary Weatherall, a British producer who emerged in the mid‑2010s London electronic scene with an approach to house that is hazy, melodic and deliberately off‑kilter — often likened to lo‑fi house but not reducible to it. Across his releases Ross From Friends has broadened that framework into a more expansive writing style where house converses with breakbeat, ambient and downtempo, crafting tracks that favour supple rhythms, worn textures and distinct melodies over a simple club format. His debut album, Family Portrait, was released in 2018, followed by Tread in 2021 on Brainfeeder. Alongside his solo output, Felix Clary Weatherall launched the label Scarlet Tiger in 2021 as a platform for his music and that of close collaborators. Ross From Friends has also developed a live trio format that translates his universe into a more organic setup, blending electronics and instrumentation and performed both in clubs and on festival stages. This move from studio to stage accompanies his evolution toward a more open music, positioned between domestic listening and live contexts.
