Leon Vynehall

British producer and DJ active on the electronic scene since the early 2010s, Leon Vynehall first attracted attention with a series of house and deep-house maxi singles combining danceable rhythms, soul samples and hushed atmospheres, released on labels such as 3024, Aus Music and Rush Hour. Originally from southeast England and long based near Brighton, Vynehall quickly developed a compositional approach that blurs the line between club music and listening formats, playing on the nuances between repetitive groove, ambient textures and minimalist melodic motifs. The mini‑album Music for the Uninvited (2014) marked a first step in this more narrative approach, followed by Rojus (Designed to Dance) in 2016, conceived around the dynamics of the dancefloor. With Nothing Is Still (2018), released on Ninja Tune, he moved toward a more cinematic form by incorporating strings, orchestral arrangements and family memories related to emigration, and on Rare, Forever (2021) he explored a more fragmented, abstract mode of composition. Active both in clubs and in live formats, he alternates residencies and tours across Europe and North America with hybrid projects that combine sound experimentation and influences from house, techno, ambient and experimental music.
