Marshmello

Under the moniker Marshmello, American producer and DJ Christopher Comstock, hailing from Philadelphia, has, since the mid‑2010s, developed a highly melodic take on mainstream electronic music. First noticed in 2015 through tracks posted online and remixes circulating across the EDM scene, he broke through with a blend of future bass, melodic trap, and electronic pop, built around catchy vocals, song‑leaning structures, and simple, effective drops. His debut album, Joytime, arrived in 2016, followed by Joytime II in 2018 and Joytime III in 2019, extending a festival‑oriented EDM approach before a more varied turn on Shockwave in 2021 and God, Love & Marshmello in 2023. Collaborations with pop and R&B artists such as Selena Gomez, Khalid, Anne‑Marie, and Bastille reinforce his positioning at the border between club and radio. His presence on major stages and in hybrid events that bridge video games and concerts contributes to a strongly visual image centered on his marshmallow‑shaped helmet, while he continues to focus on accessible productions at the crossroads of dance, pop, and bass‑driven sounds.
