Kollektiv Turmstrasse

Born in the early 2000s in northern Germany, Kollektiv Turmstrasse first took shape as a duo of Christian Hilscher and Nico Plagemann, pursuing an aesthetic between minimal house, deep house and melodic techno. After early 12-inches on independent European labels, the project came into its own with the album "Verrückte Welt" in 2006, and especially "Rebellion der Träumer" in 2010, where Kollektiv Turmstrasse weaves pared-back rhythms, atmospheric pads and slow, often melancholic melodic lines. Established on the German and then international club circuit, the duo embarked on tours, DJ sets and live shows built around progressive arcs, while releasing EPs and remixes across various house and techno catalogues. From 2020 onward, Kollektiv Turmstrasse has been the solo project of Nico Plagemann, extending this emotional approach to the dancefloor by playing with contrasts between tension and restraint, club-oriented material and more contemplative formats, maintaining continuity between studio productions and a regular presence on electronic stages.
