Anja Schneider

Based in Berlin, German DJ and producer Anja Schneider has developed since the early 2000s a personal approach to techno and house marked by direct grooves, clear melodic lines and precise work on club rhythm. Born in Bergisch Gladbach, near Cologne, she first engaged with the electronic scene through radio in Germany before launching her DJ career and establishing herself in Berlin clubs and on European stages. In 2005 Anja Schneider founded the label Mobilee Records, the main vehicle for her singles and an aesthetic situated between pared‑down tech house and deep house; she left Mobilee in 2017 to create her own label, Sous Music, where she continues her solo productions and remix projects. Her debut studio album, Beyond the Valley (2008), explores a writing style oriented toward progression and melodic electro textures, followed in 2017 by SoMe, released on Sous Music, which refines a palette ranging from hypnotic techno to more vocal tracks. Alongside her releases, Anja Schneider hosted for several years shows dedicated to electronic music on the Berlin station Fritz, maintaining a constant link between her production work, her DJ activity and club audiences.
