HVOB

Born in Vienna in the early 2010s around Anna Müller and Paul Wallner, HVOB (Her Voice Over Boys) develops electronic music at the crossroads of minimal house, melodic techno and restrained synth-pop, propelled by measured tempos, cold textures and Anna Müller’s clear voice. Quickly noticed by the Berlin label Stil vor Talent, HVOB released a self-titled debut in 2013, followed by Trialog (2015), Silk (2017), Rocco (2019) and TOO (2022). Across these records HVOB refines a broader, more introspective writing in which club structures remain but open up to slower, atmospheric forms sometimes close to downtempo. The project moves through electronic venues and festivals as well as more elaborate live formats, with particular attention to the relationship between pulse, space and voice. From the outset HVOB has been part of a European electronic scene linking Vienna, Berlin and international circuits, while maintaining a tight sonic identity built on reduction, repetition and a constant melodic tension.
