Pional

Under the name Pional, Miguel Barros has been developing an electronic sound from Madrid that sits between house, hazy pop, downtempo and indie dance, with a central emphasis on the voice, melodic lines and supple rhythms. He emerged around 2010 on the Spanish electronic scene with the double release Invisible/Amenaza (2010), then broadened his scope as a producer, singer and DJ. His ongoing collaboration with John Talabot marked a key stage in his career—Pional contributed to several tracks on the album fin (2012). His repertoire alternates between club‑oriented formats, more introspective electronic songs and remixes, in a writing style that blends house pulse, nocturnal textures and a pop sensibility. After the singles It’s All Over (2014) and When Love Hurts (2016), Pional has continued to move between independent labels, festivals and European club stages, maintaining a concise, vocal and atmospheric approach that links dance to a more melodic form of electronic music.
