Cœur de Pirate
Cœur de Pirate, the stage name of Béatrice Martin, has been one of the major voices of francophone pop since 2008. A classically trained pianist, she made her mark with her debut album thanks to sensitive songwriting and a style that blends melancholy, elegance and crystalline melodies. Her hit “Comme des enfants” brought her international recognition and launched a rich discography spanning orchestral pop, indie-tinged moments and more electronic explorations. Notable releases include Blonde, a more rhythm-driven album where she asserts her artistic identity, and Roses, distinguished by modern production and luminous hooks. She also composes for visual media, notably the soundtrack to the video game Child of Light. With En cas de tempête ce jardin sera fermé and Perséides she continues to address the intimate with great delicacy, turning emotions and hardships into radiant songs. An engaged artist, prolific singer-songwriter and a key figure in both Québec and France, she pursues a career where softness, fragility and emotional power constantly coexist.
