Aliocha Schneider
Born in Paris in 1993 and raised in Quebec during childhood, Aliocha Schneider has built a dual path between music and acting, with a Franco-Canadian identity that runs through both his songs and his presence on French and Quebec stages. Initially active in film and television in Canada and later in France, he pursues in parallel a musical project launched in the mid-2010s in a folk and folk-pop rock register with sometimes rougher edges, fed by intimate writing and sober arrangements focused on voice and guitar. After the Sorry Eyes EP in 2016, Aliocha Schneider released Eleven Songs in 2017 and Naked in 2020, two English-language albums produced with Samy Osta, where melodic folk, understated rock, and ballads with restrained tension intersect. With the 2023 album Aliocha Schneider, he switches to French and shifts his aesthetic slightly toward a more direct pop-song sensibility, without breaking with his taste for stripped-down formats. This evolution accompanies increased visibility on stage on both sides of the Atlantic, while his acting career continues, notably through series and films shot in France, Quebec, and internationally. Thus, Aliocha Schneider builds a career where personal writing, cross-language circulation, and a constant folk grounding provide continuity across his body of work.
