Camélia Jordana
Camélia Jordana first came to public attention on the television show Nouvelle Star in 2009, before developing a career that blends French chanson, pop, soul and touches of folk. She released her debut album, Camélia Jordana, in 2010, which is dominated by acoustic pop formats and songwriting rooted in the chanson tradition. With Dans la peau (2014) she broadened her sonic palette toward denser arrangements, a stronger groove and vocals drawing more from soul. Lost, released in 2018, marked a new turn toward more contemporary pop, open to R&B textures and more intimate songwriting. In 2020 Facile x fragile took the form of a double album that brings together several registers—between chanson, orchestrated pop and urban influences. Alongside her musical career, Camélia Jordana also works as an actress in film and television, while continuing to perform on stage at venues and festivals in France and the francophone world.
