Raphaël
Raphaël Haroche, better known by his stage name Raphaël, is a French musician and performer born in 1975 to an Argentine mother and a Russian father. Drawn to music from an early age, he listened passionately to artists such as David Bowie, Jacques Brel and Bob Dylan. Raphaël learned piano and guitar, and at twenty-five he released his first album, produced by EMI, «Hôtel de l’univers». The album was well received and allowed him to share the stage with Vanessa Paradis for his early concerts, but it was his second album, «La réalité», that launched his career. With his third album, «Caravane», released in 2005, Raphaël won not one but three Victoires de la Musique in 2006. This recognition led him to tour extensively across France. Alongside his music career, Raphaël has made a few film appearances, including in the 2010 film «Ces amours là». In 2012 he released his sixth album, «Super Welter», and hit the road again with his «Caravane», touring venues and festival stages on a major concert series.
