Eclipse

Formed in Stockholm in 1999, Eclipse belongs to the tradition of Swedish melodic hard rock, with a sound that mixes AOR-style choruses, incisive guitars and an energy inherited from 1980s hair metal and hard rock. The group is built around Erik Martensson, vocalist, multi-instrumentalist and songwriter, and guitarist Magnus Henriksson, who have formed the stable core of Eclipse since the beginning. After the debut The Truth and a Little More in 2001 and Second to None in 2004, Eclipse refined its identity on Are You Ready to Rock in 2008, where the songwriting became more direct and denser. That direction was confirmed with Bleed & Scream (2012), Armageddonize (2015), Monumentum (2017), Paradigm (2019), Wired (2021), Megalomanium (2023) and Megalomanium II (2024). Active on the European hard rock scene, Eclipse has also gained visibility through specialized festivals such as Firefest, while Martensson has developed parallel activities as a producer and with the W.E.T. project, which occupies the same melodic sphere. Melodies remain central to Eclipse, always supported by tight guitar work, a strong rhythmic foundation and songwriting calibrated for the rock format.
