Info
On April 16, 2027, at PNE Forum in Vancouver, Meshuggah bring “The Forty-Year Anomaly” on the road with the kind of precision-heavy, polyrhythmic assault that made their name. Built on cyclical riffs, sudden tempo shifts and that locked-in, almost mechanical feel, the band’s set draws from their long arc between progressive metal, groove and technical death metal. Expect the abrasive bark of Jens Kidman up front, angular guitars that seem to loop and mutate, and Tomas Haake’s drumming as the engine—tight, restless, always pushing the grid until it bends.
Testament come in with Bay Area thrash roots and a catalog that moves from straight-ahead speed to heavier, darker turns. Driven by Chuck Billy’s forceful vocals and Eric Peterson’s riffing, their songs balance sharp, fast structures with melodic leads and occasional technical twists.
Blood Incantation open the night from a different angle: cosmic-leaning death metal that stretches into progressive structures and trippy atmospheres. Long-form tracks, brutal surges, and spacey detours sit side by side, with the band’s sci-fi fixations shaping the mood as much as the riffs.
