Gojira

Gojira is among the most influential French bands on the global metal scene. Formed in the mid-1990s in Bayonne by the Duplantier brothers, the quartet quickly forged a unique identity, blending technical death metal, progressive power, and environmental concerns that became their signature. Following several independent releases, Gojira broke through internationally with From Mars to Sirius—now regarded as a modern metal classic—and then cemented their stature with major records such as The Way of All Flesh, L’Enfant Sauvage, and Magma, which earned them two Grammy nominations. The band continued its ascent with Fortitude, a unifying and committed album that further strengthened their presence on the world’s biggest stages.
