Info
The Coral return to the stage on October 16, 2026 at KOKO in London, bringing back that Wirral-born blend of indie rock shot through with psychedelia, jangle pop and a touch of Merseybeat. Formed in 1996 around James Skelly, Ian Skelly, Paul Duffy, Bill Ryder-Jones, Lee Southall and later Nick Power, the band built its early-2000s reputation on songs that feel classic without ever sitting still, shifting between bright pop hooks and more hazy, dreamlike turns.
From their self-titled 2002 debut to Magic and Medicine, then the darker edge of The Invisible Invasion and the widescreen pull of Roots & Echoes, The Coral have kept evolving, especially after Bill Ryder-Jones’ departure in 2008. In recent years they’ve expanded their own universe again with records like Coral Island, Sea of Mirrors and Holy Joe’s Coral Island Medicine Show. Expect a set that moves easily between melodic choruses and more textured, off-kilter grooves, with that coastal, cinematic atmosphere always lurking in the background.
