Riley Green

Born in Jacksonville, Alabama in 1988, Riley Green entered the contemporary American country scene by blending traditional sounds with songwriting rooted in everyday life in the rural South. After regional beginnings in Alabama and a notable appearance on the reality show Redneck Island, Riley Green moved to Nashville and released the 2018 EP In a Truck Right Now, which yielded the single "There Was This Girl" that marked a turning point in his career. His debut studio album Different ’Round Here was released in 2019, asserting a country aesthetic that mixes uptempo tracks, melodic ballads, steel guitar and stories centered on family, memory and small‑town life, with songs such as "I Wish Grandpas Never Died." Riley Green followed with several EPs in the early 2020s and with the album Ain’t My Last Rodeo in 2023, which continued this narrative, nostalgic vein. A regular on country venues and festivals across the United States, Riley Green has toured as the opening act for established Nashville artists and made occasional collaborations, notably with Thomas Rhett on the track "Half of Me" and with Luke Combs on a new version of "Different ’Round Here", consolidating his place in mainstream country while remaining close to a sound influenced by 1990s country.
