Parker McCollum
Born in Conroe, Texas, in 1992, Parker McCollum belongs to the lineage of American country shaped by the Texas scene, blending introspective songwriting with rock and Americana influences. After starting out on regional circuits, he released his first EP, A Red Town View, in 2013, followed by the album The Limestone Kid in 2015, which established a world centered on road tales, complicated relationships and everyday life, driven by personal songwriting and prominent guitar arrangements. With Probably Wrong in 2017, McCollum refined a mix of contemporary country, slow ballads and more urgent tempos, before moving into the Nashville scene and signing with MCA Nashville around 2019. The EP Hollywood Gold (2020) and the albums Gold Chain Cowboy (2021) and Never Enough (2023) marked his transition to nationwide exposure, without abandoning the codes of Texan country, combining acoustic instruments, more rock-oriented rhythm sections and melodic choruses. Parker McCollum remains closely tied to the U.S. live scene, performing in mid-sized venues, at country festivals and on tours with artists from the same field.
