Bailey Zimmerman

Born in 2000 in Louisville, Illinois, Bailey Zimmerman grew up in a rural Midwestern setting where country and rock took center stage. Before turning to music, he worked a series of industrial jobs, including on pipelines—experience that later fueled the imagery in his lyrics. Beginning in 2020, he started posting song snippets on social media, quickly drawing the attention of an online audience and then of the Nashville-based country industry. The self-released single Never Comin’ Home in 2021 marked an early milestone, followed in 2022 by Fall in Love and Rock and a Hard Place, which positioned him within a contemporary, rock-tinged country sound, driven by a raspy voice, muscular guitars, and a taste for straight-ahead hooks. Signed to Warner Music Nashville and Elektra, Zimmerman released the EP Leave the Light On in 2022, then the album Religiously. The Album. in 2023, blending breakup ballads, small-town vignettes, and influences ranging from traditional radio country to more modern rock. Frequently appearing on major North American country tours as an opening act for established artists, Bailey Zimmerman is part of a new generation of country singers to emerge from social media.
