Thomas Rhett

Born in Valdosta, Georgia, and raised in the Nashville area, Thomas Rhett has established himself on the American country scene while shifting his repertoire toward contemporary country that sometimes incorporates pop touches. The son of songwriter and singer Rhett Akins, Thomas Rhett began by writing for other Nashville artists before signing under his own name in the early 2010s; he contributed to songs recorded by Jason Aldean, Lee Brice and Florida Georgia Line. His discography starts with It Goes Like This (2013), followed by Tangled Up (2015) and Life Changes (2017) — albums that cemented a songwriting approach aimed at current country radio formats, between ballads, mid-tempos and pop choruses. He continued with Center Point Road in 2019 and Country Again: Side A in 2021, where he moved back toward a more straightforward country sound, followed by Where We Started in 2022 and About a Woman in 2024. On stage and in the studio, Thomas Rhett alternates lively tracks, songs about couples and autobiographical narratives, maintaining roots in Nashville while regularly broadening his sonic palette.
