Luke Combs
Born in Charlotte, North Carolina, in 1990 and raised in Asheville, Luke Combs has built a contemporary country repertoire marked by plainspoken ballads, a grounding in American rural life, and rock inflections. After studying at Appalachian State University in Boone, he began performing in college bars before moving to Nashville in the mid-2010s to focus on songwriting and live shows. His early self-released EPs established him on the local circuit and paved the way for the 2017 album 'This One’s for You,' which already showcased his recurring themes of love, friendship, work, and everyday life. Combs followed with 'What You See Is What You Get' in 2019, which amplified the blend of traditional country, FM-friendly rock, and power ballads, then with 'Growin’ Up' (2022) and 'Gettin’ Old' (2023), two records that extend this autobiographical streak by exploring adulthood, family, and the passage of time. A singer with a deep, melodic voice, Luke Combs has steadily made his mark on major North American country stages, from Nashville clubs to large-scale tours across North America and overseas, while remaining closely connected to the Grand Ole Opry community.
