Ella Langley
Born and raised in Hope Hull, Alabama, Ella Langley is a Nashville-based country singer-songwriter whose writing draws on the hallmarks of traditional country while weaving in rock inflections and a plainspoken edge akin to contemporary Southern rock. After early gigs in bars and local venues across Alabama, she moved to Nashville in 2019 to focus on songwriting and live performance, and signed with Columbia Records Nashville / Sony Music Nashville. Beginning in 2020, she released a string of singles, including "Wrong Guy," "Country Boy's Dream Girl," and "If You Have To," which established a style centered on tales of complicated relationships, rural life, and rowdy nights. In 2022, Langley recorded "That's Why We Fight" as a duet with Texas artist Koe Wetzel, further reinforcing her footing at the junction of country and alternative rock. Her debut EP, "Excuse the Mess," arrived in 2023, bringing these facets together with guitar-driven arrangements, straightforward hooks, and a sharp eye for everyday detail, and positioned Langley among the new generation shaping the American country scene.
