Lainey Wilson

Born in Baskin, Louisiana, and based in Nashville since 2011, Lainey Wilson is part of contemporary country that blends classic heritage, southern rock accents and pop touches while maintaining a very narrative anchor. After beginnings on the independent scene, she released her first self-titled album in 2014, then Tougher in 2016, before signing with BBR Music Group. The Redneck Hollywood EP appeared in 2019 and prepared Lainey Wilson's emergence with the American country public, while her writing, moving between tradition and current formats, gained more prominence. The title “Things a Man Oughta Know”, initially included on an EP and then relaunched as a single in 2020, marks a turning point and opens the way to the album Sayin’ What I’m Thinkin’ in 2021. Lainey Wilson then refined a style she describes as “bell bottom country”, made of direct choruses, a voice with a strong Southern accent and arrangements that bring radio country closer to classic country. Bell Bottom Country released in 2022, followed by Whirlwind in 2024. Parallel to her music career, Lainey Wilson broadened her visibility with a role in the series Yellowstone, where several of her songs are also used. On stage, she moves from small Nashville circuits to shared tours with Jason Aldean, Jon Pardi, Dierks Bentley, Morgan Wallen or Luke Combs, while developing a repertoire of collaborations with Cole Swindell, Hardy, Jelly Roll, Keith Urban or Terri Clark.
