Sorry

Formed in the mid-2010s in north London, Sorry centers around the creative core of Asha Lorenz and Louis O’Bryen and belongs to the contemporary British indie rock scene. Signed to Domino Recording Company, Sorry has developed a sonic language where indie rock, traces of post‑punk, experimental pop and elements drawn from jazz and electronic music intersect, often built around angular guitars, jagged rhythms and two‑part spoken‑sung vocals. After a series of demos and self‑produced videos shared online, the band established itself on the small‑venue and festival circuit in the UK and later extended its touring to Europe and North America. Sorry released its debut studio album, '925', in 2020, capturing a fragmented, collage‑like songwriting approach and shifts of mood in the studio; in 2022 they followed with 'Anywhere but Here', recorded in London and New York, where their sound refocused on more direct song structures while retaining an experimental tension.
