Pip Blom

Born in Amsterdam around singer and guitarist Pip Blom, the Pip Blom project developed over the 2010s into an indie rock band with direct songwriting, blending indie pop, post-punk and garage rock in a taut, melodic format. After an initial series of singles and EPs that established them on the Dutch and British independent scenes, Pip Blom refined a formula of crisp guitars, brief choruses and nervous rhythms. The band is centered on Pip Blom, her brother Tender Blom on guitar and Darek Mercks on bass, with a lineup that has evolved over time. Signed to Heavenly Recordings, Pip Blom released the album Boat in 2019, then Welcome Break in 2021, where the songwriting gained pop clarity without losing its angular energy, followed by Bobbie in 2023, a record with more synthetic textures but still rooted in concise indie rock. Between clubs, festivals and regular tours across Europe and the UK, Pip Blom has established itself in an indie circuit where guitar pop, post-punk tension and the craft of short songs intersect.
