Biffy Clyro
Biffy Clyro, the Scottish rock/metal band, formed in Kilmarnock in 1995 at the initiative of three friends: Simon Neil and twins James and Ben Johnston. Influenced by acts like Metallica and Guns N’ Roses, the trio developed its own sound. Their first three albums gradually raised their profile among fellow musicians and the wider public. The fourth album, Puzzle (2007), proved a breakthrough and suddenly put them in the spotlight; they even performed at Wembley Stadium alongside Muse. Puzzle earned Biffy Clyro the number two spot on the UK albums chart. In 2009 the band released Only Revolutions, and two years after the Wembley show came Revolutions // Live At Wembley. After numerous concerts, festival appearances and studio sessions, Biffy Clyro released the critically acclaimed Opposites in 2013 and toured behind it. That same year they were booked for Main Square Festival, Sziget and even the Stade de France, once again sharing a bill with Muse and Paramore.
