Unleash The Archers

Formed in Vancouver in 2007 around singer Brittney Slayes, Unleash The Archers develops a metal that blends traditional heavy metal, power metal and melodic death metal, balancing soaring hooks, fast guitars and more aggressive passages. The band first releases independently Behold the Devastation in 2009 and then Demons of the AstroWaste in 2011, followed by the 2012 EP Defy the Skies, which extends an early period marked by a rougher sound and lineup changes. From the mid-2010s, the arrival of Andrew Kingsley and the integration of Grant Truesdell into the guitar duo accompany a shift toward more melodic and narrative writing. Signed to Napalm Records, Unleash The Archers released Time Stands Still in 2015, then Apex in 2017, a concept album that more clearly established their fondness for fantasy and science-fiction narratives. The Explorers EP appeared in 2019, followed by Abyss in 2020, continuing the story started on Apex. On stage, Unleash The Archers tour between metal festivals and North American and European tours, in a tight-knit band format where Brittney Slayes’s vocal prowess remains at the center of a repertoire that is epic in its themes and precise in its execution.
