Seven Spires

Formed in Boston in 2013 around singer and keyboardist Adrienne Cowan and guitarist Jack Kosto, joined by bassist Peter de Reyna, Seven Spires develops a symphonic metal style that also incorporates power metal, melodic death metal and touches of black metal, with a tendency for narrative songwriting and albums conceived within a single fictional universe. After an independent start, Seven Spires released Solveig in 2017 and later signed to Frontiers Music, where Emerald Seas (2020), Gods of Debauchery (2021) and A Fortress Called Home (2024) were issued. The band relies on strong contrasts between orchestration, extreme passages, more melodic choruses and a vocal approach capable of alternating clean singing with rougher registers. This identity has taken Seven Spires on North American tours alongside acts from related scenes such as DragonForce, Eluveitie, Omnium Gatherum and Twilight Force. The group’s trajectory is also embedded in a broader metal network, notably through Adrienne Cowan’s activities outside Seven Spires, while the lineup evolved with drummer Dylan Gowan’s arrival following Chris Dovas’s departure.
