Temperance

Formed in Italy in the early 2010s, Temperance belongs to a modern melodic metal style that blends power metal with symphonic touches, placing particular emphasis on polyphonic choruses. Led by guitarist and vocalist Marco Pastorino, Temperance brings together musicians from the Italian metal scene who craft a sound where fast guitars, orchestration, keyboards and electronic elements coexist with songwriting close to melodic rock. The self-titled debut Temperance was released in 2014, followed by Limitless in 2015 and The Earth Embraces Us All in 2016, establishing the band on the European power and symphonic metal circuits. With Of Jupiter and Moons (2018) and Viridian (2020), Temperance refined a formula based on the use of multiple lead voices, a range that spans from up-tempo tracks to ballads, and lyrics often oriented toward imagination and nature. The album Diamanti (2021) and the concept Hermitage – Daruma’s Eyes Pt. 2 (2023) continue this evolution; Temperance has increased touring and festival appearances across Europe while consolidating a sonic identity centered on melody and vocal arrangements.
