Alex Metric

Based in London, Alex Metric has since the mid-2000s developed a path bridging production, DJing and songwriting, at the crossroads of house, electro house, nu-disco and an electronic pop characterized by clear melodic lines and club rhythms without heaviness. First identified by a string of singles and EPs released from 2005 onward, he quickly refined a sound that blends floor-energy, synthetic textures and more song-oriented formats, as heard on Open Your Eyes in 2011, followed by the Ammunition series between 2012 and 2015. Alex Metric has also circulated within several collaborative circles, notably Metroplane and KUU with Riton, while maintaining a sustained activity as a remixer for artists ranging from indie rock to pop and electronic music. Parallel to this, Alex Metric has established himself as a producer and co-writer for other projects, with credits for Mark Ronson, Diplo, Dua Lipa, Avicii, Friendly Fires or Mel C. His work thus alternates tracks designed for the club, more vocal productions and cross-disciplinary collaborations, in a precise aesthetic where house remains the anchor, enriched with disco accents, electropop and progressive house. In 2023, he released the EP Space & Time.
